Destination Gettysburg launches Sweet Stroll Trail

Visitors to Gettysburg this summer have a new reason to indulge. Starting July 1, Destination Gettysburg is launching the Adams County Sweet Stroll, a limited-time trail celebrating the region’s best treats—from creamy ice cream and handcrafted chocolates to locally roasted coffee and bubbly sodas.

Running through September 1, the Sweet Stroll features more than a dozen participating businesses across Gettysburg and Adams County, inviting locals and tourists alike to explore the area’s sweet side. Stops include beloved favorites like Mr. G’s Ice Cream, Gettysburg Chocolate Market, and Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium, along with cozy cafes such as Bantam Coffee Roasters, Presidents Coffee, and the Ragged Edge Coffee House.

Participants can join the fun by signing up for a free digital passport at (https://www.destinationgettysburg.com/sweet).

By checking in at participating locations and entering each business’s unique code, Sweet Strollers earn points toward prizes including a coffee mug, apron, T-shirt, drinking glass, and baseball cap.

The Sweet Stroll is ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers seeking a delightful way to discover the region’s culinary delights. From milkshakes to espresso and everything in between, the trail highlights both iconic spots and hidden gems across the county.

The trail is Destination Gettysburg’s first temporary offering, joining its established lineup of tourism trails including the Adams County Pour Tour (focused on local beer, wine, cider, and spirits), the Adams County Crop Hop (a guide to farm-fresh experiences), and the Gettysburg Black History Trail.
