Baseball team rolls to win; softball squad gets rolled

Tegan Kuhns fired a 15-strikeout, two-hit shutout, and Bryce Rudisill went four-for-four in leading the Gettysburg baseball team to an 8-0 on the Warriors’ home field Tuesday.
Rudisill had two doubles and four RBIs on the day and also scored a run. Gettysburg broke open a scoreless game with three in the third, then removed all doubt with a four-spot in the sixth. Wyatt Sokol had three Gettysburg hits, scored three times, and knocked in a run.
Kuhns was in control from the start, walking just one.
Chase Blanchard and Ethan Lodish had the Palmyra hits. Blanchard’s was a double.
Softball
Palmyra took control early with four runs in the first inning, followed by three more in the second, on the way to five-inning 10-0 win over visiting Gettysburg Tuesday afternoon.
Palmyra’s offense was led by Emily Cutman, who went a perfect four-for-four, including two doubles and a triple, and scored four runs. Isabella Abbott and Mollie White also contributed significantly, with Abbott notching three hits, three RBIs, and scoring three times. White had three hits and three RBIs.
On the other side, Gettysburg managed only one hit, a Danika Kump single.
Palmyra’s Mollie White pitched a complete game, allowing just one hit and striking out 12 Gettysburg batters.
