Totem Pole Playhouse brings big laughs, bold music, and unforgettable girl power to the stage with 9 to 5: The Musical, running for 20 performances only from June 20 through July 6. With a Tony-nominated score by country music legend Dolly Parton, this high-energy musical comedy delivers a feel-good experience that’s as empowering as it is entertaining.
Based on the hit 1980 film—which premiered during Totem Pole Playhouse’s own 30th anniversary—9 to 5 follows three coworkers who band together to take control of their workplace and reimagine a more just and joyful office culture. Packed with outrageous moments, clever schemes, and the iconic title song that became an anthem, this musical is a hilarious and heartfelt tribute to friendship, fairness, and finding your voice.
The production stars Amy Decker as Violet (National Tours: Will Rogers Follies, Phantom of the Opera), Allie Seibold as Doralee (International Tour: Footloose), Hannah Taylor as Judy (Cruise Ship: Six: The Musical; National Tour: Little Women), Taylor Whidden as Roz (Totem Pole’s Grease, Footloose), and Billy Clark Taylor as Mr. Hart (Off-Broadway and Regional Theatre). Rounding out the cast are Michael Santora, Dennis Setteducati, Taylor Kellas Warren, Willem Butler, Adam Shank, Michael J. Krikorian, Ken Griggs, Charlie Wingert, Maria Albani, Becky Grace Kalman, Korri Slamans, Camila V Romero, and Carly Paige Lafferty.
The show is directed by Ryan B. Gibbs, Producing Artistic Director of Totem Pole Playhouse (Broadway/National Tours: Wicked, Rent, Mary Poppins), with Darren Server as Music Director (over 20 years with Totem Pole), Cody Smith as Choreographer (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Elizabeth Angelozzi as Costume Designer (Messiah College, Dickinson College), and Tom Ryan as Scenic Designer (Boom Creative, national and regional credits).

9 to 5: The Musical premiered in Los Angeles in 2008 and transferred to Broadway in 2009, earning 15 Drama Desk nominations and 4 Tony nominations. With music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick, co-writer of the original film, it remains one of the most beloved and empowering shows of the modern musical era.
