About the Shippensburg Festival Symphony: For over 50 years (with a brief hiatus due to Covid) professional musicians from orchestras in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virgina, West Virgina and New York have gathered to form the Shippensburg Festival Orchestra under the baton of renowned guest conductors. This year Lawrence Loh, former conductor with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Dallas Symphony and Colorado Symphony, and current music director of the Syracuse Symphony and Waco Symphony, leads the orchestra in a music and film series, A Night at the Oscars on July 18th and E.T. The Extra Terrestrial In Concert on July 20th.
Tickets for adults range in price from $40 to $55, depending on seating. Youth tickets ($17 & under) are available for $15.
