Edward L. Shelton, age 71, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away, of congestive heart failure, peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, September 18, 2020, at Doey’s House – Hospice of Washington County in Hagerstown, MD.
He was born May 28, 1949, in Tazewell, VA. to Edward G. and Naomi Ruth (Witt) Shelton.
Edward (Eddie) was a member of Gaithersburg Church of God, MD. He was an independent business owner and truck driver before retiring. He enjoyed music, cooking and fishing.
Eddie is survived by his four children, Michael John Natishin and wife Melody of Seven Valleys, PA; Angela Shelton of Aberdeen, MD; Edith Pigeon and husband Neil of Gettysburg, PA.; Shelly Shelton of Hagerstown, MD.; his brothers Rodney Corkey Shelton, Mike Shelton; and sister Dana Corn and their families.
He has 9 grandchildren – Cortney, Jessica, Faith, Lillian, Amy, Sarah, Nicholas, William and Dominic.
He is also survived by Josie, Alex, Karla, Sandra (Seabolt) Crickenberger, Glen Seabolt, Jr. and Tammy (Seabolt) Lafferty.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Joseph Jerome Shelton and Ricky Quan Shelton.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA with Rev Jack Payne officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the services at the funeral home.
