Junior Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum) and freshman Greg Himstreet (Chatham, N.J. Chatham) led the Gettysburg College men’s cross country team at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational on Saturday at Big Spring High School.

The Finish Line
- Gettysburg finished with a combined team score of 156 to place fifth out of 12 teams that earned a team score in both the 4,000- and 8,000-meter races. The Bullets scored 31 points in the 4K to finish second among 19 teams, and they posted a score of 125 in the 8K to come in 13th.
- Elliott finished 10th among 131 runners in the 4K and was timed at 12:55. Other top finishers in the race were senior Will Hopkins (Raleigh, N.C./Needham B. Broughton), who placed 12th in 13:00, and senior Dylan McKeever (Furlong, Pa. Central Bucks East), who came in 14th in 13:12.
- In the 8K, Himstreet was clocked at 29:13 as he took 35th in a field of 141. He was followed by freshman Josh Judson (Arvada, Colo. Faith Christian Academy), who placed 60th in 30:32, and freshman Noah Albanese (Castleton On Hudson, N.Y. Maple Hill), who finished 61st in 30:33 to round out the team scoring.
