Ring bells! Bang the drums! Are you gonna love this exciting stage adaptation of the legendary tale of the lovable thief with the heart of gold!

Join Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, and the Genie as they discover mystical caves, take magic carpet rides, and outwit the evil sorcerer, Jafar. Adapted especially for young performers with expanded characters and storylines, this musical includes favorite Alan Menken songs such as “Friend Like Me,” “A Whole New World,” and “Prince Ali,” as well as wonderful new songs added for the Broadway production. With new, colorful characters and non-stop adventure, “Aladdin JR.” is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages!

Aladdin and his best friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the fast-talking, wisecracking Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the outspoken Princess Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character as he discovers what it means to be a “diamond in the rough.”

“For all of its glittery fanfare and mystical tricks, “Aladdin JR.” shows us that the real magic happens when you are brave enough to be true to yourself,” says co-director Windish.

Co-director Tarbox adds, “Part of educating young people is teaching them the power of their choices, both good and bad. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, ‘The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.’ We are grateful to have the opportunity to build something beautiful with these kids that really celebrates honesty, integrity, generosity, and goodness.”

Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 28 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 in the GAMS Auditorium, 37 Lefever Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids and will be available online at tinyurl.com/2025GAMSmusical and at the door 30 minutes before showtime.
