On April 22, 2025, the Fairfield Lions Club celebrated its 80th Anniversary at the District 14C Zone Social 1B at the Fairfield Fire Hall.
Along with Fairfield Lions Club members were Lions and Leos from other Zone 14C clubs.
Entertainment was provided by Thaddeus Stevens (portrayed by Ross Hetrick), who shared events from his life in the Adams County area. Also, Ed Miller of the Cashtown Lions Club received a 50-year service award from the District Governor 14C, Galen Burkholder, during the evening.

The Fairfield Lions have donated thousands of dollars and many hours to help the local community over the last 80 years. The Lions Club motto is “To Serve,” and although best known for their help with individuals needing glasses, they have also helped Hamiltonban Park with projects, Fairfield Borough by painting curbs, and donations to Ruth’s Harvest and the Fairfield Food Pantry, among others.
The members of the Fairfield Lions Club look forward to continuing to help those in need.
