National Academic Squad | Scholars of Distinction | National Academic Teams
BROCKPORT, N.Y.
The Gettysburg College field hockey team was recognized for academic success by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) with 25 student-athletes named to the National Academic Squad and eight tagged Scholars of Distinction.
Gettysburg landed the bulk of its roster on the National Academic Squad, which honors individuals who maintained a GPA of 3.3 or above during first semester of the 2021-22 academic year. The Bullets beat the previous year’s total by six student-athletes.
The student-athletes on the National Academic Squad include:

Eight Bullets were also named Scholars of Distinction, which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the academic year. Farinelli, Ritchie, and Vadinsky all earned the honor for the third consecutive season, while Brewer, Lacey, Katie Regan, Scott, and Shaffer were first-time honorees.
Finally, Gettysburg extended its streak of National Academic Team Awards to 16. The Bullets easily met the 3.0 minimum this past fall, posting a team GPA of 3.5. Gettysburg has been named to the National Academic Team list every year since 2007.
