Registration is now open for the Center for Youth & Community Development’s free after-school program for the 2026-27 school year, offering Adams County students a safe and supportive place to learn and grow after the school day ends.

The program, offered in partnership with Collaborating for Youth, is open to all families regardless of income. Students participate for 2.5 hours each weekday, beginning at the end of the school day.

The program is designed to help students succeed academically while building confidence, developing positive relationships and exploring new interests. Activities include homework help and tutoring, interactive and cooperative learning, character development, academic enrichment, environmental exploration, career development opportunities, fitness and healthy lifestyle activities, STEAM projects, and social-emotional learning.

Participants also have opportunities to interact with visiting musicians, artists and other community partners, giving students hands-on experiences beyond the classroom.

The Center for Youth & Community Development program provides a welcoming environment where children can continue learning, make friends and develop skills that support success both in school and in everyday life.
