The Adams County Planting Partnership is preparing to distribute free native trees and shrubs to residents looking to enhance their landscaping. The trees and shrubs are being provided as a part of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership.
The Adams County Agricultural and Natural Resources Center will be distributing the seedlings over a three-day period starting on Thursday, April 11. A confirmation email will be sent to those who requested seedlings.

On Thursday, April 11, the seedlings will be available for pickup from 2-7 p.m. On Friday, April 12, they will be available from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Saturday, April 13, they will be available from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Those who weren’t able to request seedlings but would like one can also visit the Tree-for-All event on Saturday, April 13, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. to find homes for any seedlings that haven’t yet been picked up.
More than 8,000 seedlings are available. A team of volunteers is needed to help distribute the trees and shrubs. Anyone who is interested in helping out can sign up here.
