GAHS Swim Team looks forward to a successful season

The Gettysburg High School swim and diving teams have begun practices at the Gettysburg-Adams YWCA in preparation for their first meets at the Dover Invitational on Dec. 1 and 2.

“We are looking for many individual improvements through this season,” said Coach Amanda Turner. “We have quite a few new swimmers who are putting in a lot of work to learn all the different techniques of the four competitive strokes.”

“Our experienced swimmers are setting goals to qualify for championship meets,” she said.

“We are also wishing good luck to some former Gettysburg High School swimmers who are competing in college now:  Hannah Brainard at Canisius, Sam and Harry Nelson at Gettysburg College, Zach Tipton at Washington College and Ethan Turner at Penn State Behrend,” said Turner
