The Gettysburg Area School board honored 14 long-time employees with over 300 years of service with certificates and rounds of applause at their meeting on Monday.
“You can never replace the individuals. Thank you all for your dedication to the district and most importantly the kids of our community,” said Superintendent Jason Perrin.
The retiring employees are:
- Mrs. Beth Cluck, custodian, Lincoln Elementary School, 19 years of service
- Mr. Alan DeGroft, custodian, Gettysburg Area High School, 4 years of service
- Mr. Ronald Harrier, custodian, Gettysburg Area Middle School, 17.5 years of service
- Mrs. Lourdes Latorre-Dandignac, Spanish teacher, Gettysburg Area High School, 21 years of service
- Mrs. Deb Litten, social studies teacher, Gettysburg Area Middle School, 28 years of service
- Mrs. Sandi Miller, custodian, Gettysburg Area Middle School, 15.5 years of service
- Mr. Pat O’Leary, criminal justice/law enforcement instructor, Adams County Technical Institute, 16 years of service
- Mrs. Ann Peters, custodian, Gettysburg Area Middle School, 26 years of service
- Mrs. Michelle Rickell, assistant secretary, Lincoln Elementary School, 20 years of service
- Mr. Bill Serfass, music teacher, Franklin Township Elementary School, 37.5 years of service
- Ms. Sandy Weikert, food services director, Administration Building, 35 years of service
- Mrs. Dianne Weikert, supervisor of custodians, Administration Building, 33 years of service
- Mrs. Tracy Wetzel, second grade teacher, Lincoln Elementary School, 17.5 years of service
- Mr. John Yadlosky, custodian, James Gettys Elementary School 11.5 years of service
