Gettysburg Civic Chorus Presents Christmas Concerts

The Gettysburg Civic Chorus will present its winter concerts Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gettysburg Area Middle School Auditorium, 37 Lefever Street, Gettysburg.

The theme “Love’s Pure Light” will feature both religious and secular music, including Beautiful Savior; ‘Twas in the Moon of Wintertime; Mary’s Little Boy Child; Go Tell It on the Mountain; Bell Carol; Mary, Did You Know?; We Need a Little Christmas; and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. Admission is free and a free-will offering will be collected at intermission.

Gettysburg Civic Chorus Winter Concert 2018

Gettysburg Civic Chorus has been in existence and presenting concerts since 1962. The 72-member group includes those from the ages of 21 to 80-plus, from Gettysburg, as well as surrounding Adams County communities and Maryland. The chorus is under the direction of Bill Serfass and the Accompanist is Jamie Bowman.

Musicians for the concert include: Dan White, Drums; Roger Sine, Bass; Bennett Sheahan, Guitar; Emily Fitez, Flute; Bevan Durant Fidler, Violin 1; Dr. Norman Nunamaker, Violin 2; Ryan Kozak, Viola; Monisola Paige Okotieuro, Cello; Jaime Bowman, Sharon Hedges and Carol Garman, Piano.

Soloists include: Sarah Lewis, Dorothy Bollinger, Dixie Colgan, Jill Huey, Cathy Pecher, Ed Riggs, Lindsay Sneeringer, Ernie Kranius, Leah Watson, Jess Sheahan, Jonathan Reck, Barbara Semiatin, and Stephanie Roelker.

A Flute Flock will entertain during Intermission.
