The Gettysburg Civic Chorus will present its spring concerts Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gettysburg Area Middle School Auditorium, 37 Lefever Street, Gettysburg. The theme “Love Will Keep Us Together” will feature songs from the 60’s and 70’s including (in addition to the concert theme) Ain’t No Mountain High Enough; Here Comes the Sun; He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother; Bridge Over Troubled Water; Everyday People; You’ve Got a Friend; Wild Things; 60’s Chicks; I’ve Been Everywhere and several more hits. There is no admission and a free-will offering will be collected at intermission.
Gettysburg Civic Chorus has been in existence and presenting concerts since 1962. The 77-member group includes those from the ages of 21 to 80-plus, from Gettysburg, as well as surrounding Adams County communities and Maryland. The chorus is under the direction of Artistic Director Bill Serfass and the Accompanist for this concert is Sharon Hedges.

Musicians for the concert include: Dan White, Drums; Roger Sine, Bass Guitar; Bennett Sheahan, Guitar; Melissa Jacoby Thomas, Saxophone; Monisola Paige Okotieuro, Cello; and Carol Garman, Piano.
Soloists include: Marisa Barra; Suzi Dean; Steve Doyle; James Hollabaugh; Jill Hughey; Bruce Moore; Corinne Pitzer; Jonathan Reck; Ed Riggs; Jessica Sheahan; Brenda Walter; and Dan White.
