The Gettysburg College Choir, directed by Dr. Robert Natter, will be featured at the Christ Lutheran Church 10:30 worship service on Sunday, September 21st. The choir is acclaimed for superlative performances of choral literature from the Renaissance era to modern. The ensemble sings in major concerts at Gettysburg College each semester and tours annually. Tours often include major cities such as New York or Boston, with performances at local churches and schools. The choir also tours internationally, with recent excursions to Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and Canada.
The Buzz Jones Jazz Quintet has performed throughout the central Pennsylvania region for dinner dances, jazz worship services, public concerts, and private events in a broad variety of venues for over 40 years. The group’s extensive song list comprises music from the Great American Songbook by composers such as Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hart, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, and Harold Arlen. Sunderman of Music faculty member Susan Hochmiller will join the quintet as vocalist and cantor.
