Gettysburg DFA Will Host Community Forum on Affordable Housing

Gettysburg DFA will host a community forum on affordable housing at St. James Church, March 10 at 7 pm. The forum will explore issues such as the state of the housing market right now in Adams County, particularly rentals, “starter homes,” elderly housing, and the “missing middle housing;” the market misalignment between affordable housing demand and supply; construction barriers impacting affordable housing; and potential housing tools and strategies.

The panel will be moderated by Leon Reed. Confirmed participants include:

new home construction of a house

· Alana Anderson, executive director of @ Home in Adams County and chair of its Housing Task Force
· Suzanne Christianson, realtor with ReMax and board member of the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity
· Bill Gilmartin, longtime HUD and congressional aide and Chair of the Adams County Housing Authority.

The meeting is open to the public. There will be a Q&A session following the panel discussion.
