Gettysburg For Gun Sense Will Screen Sue Hilderband’s “American Totem”

Gettysburg For Gun Sense will be screening a unique film, “American Totem” on Sunday, January 5 at 3:00  p.m. in Valentine Hall at the Gettysburg United Lutheran Seminary.

This documentary film looks carefully at both sides of the gun issue in order to explore the power of the gun to create community but also sometimes destroy it.

In this age of heated opinions, this film does not take a position on gun regulation but rather presents neglected viewpoints and personal narratives to transform the national conversation.  It’s a film that should be seen by both gun advocates and those who seek more gun legislation.  Most certainly, it’s a film that should be seen by all gun owners.

The film showing is free and open to the public.  It will be followed by a discussion with the film’s director, Sue Hilderbrand.

Viewers are invited to stay afterward for light refreshments.

In case of snow, the screening will take place on January 19 at 3 PM in Valentine Hall.
