The Gettysburg Green Gathering has donated $500 to the rental of a stump grinder for use at the Gettysburg Rec Park. So far the staff have removed 6 stumps around the park and plan on doing more.
The Rec Park has lost many trees over the years to disease, old age, and storms. The donation helps remove the old stumps and make room for more trees to come.
The Green Gathering will be holding a tree planting event this year again on May 15th. They will again have a scaled down version of the event where families or businesses can buy a tree to plant at the Rec Park and on May 15th they will come to the park to plant them.
