Gettysburg Heritage Center Offers Adams County and Hanover Residents Complementary Admission On President’s Day

The Gettysburg Heritage Center will offer complimentary admission to Adams County residents, as well as people living in Hanover, PA on Monday, February 17, 2020. The museum is open to visitors from 10 am – 4 pm, with the last entrance into the exhibit area at 3:00 pm.  This is the same day that the Gettysburg Foundation & Gettysburg National Military Park hosts one of several annual community appreciation days.

“Visitation by local residents on our complimentary admission days has been outstanding,” comments Tammy Myers, President of the GHC.  “We are a part of the community, and want to share what we have to offer.  We have a fantastic orientation movie, and museum, in addition to an expansive gift shop and conference room that is available for rental.”

 
 

Local guests should be prepared to show proof of residency, upon entering the Heritage Center.  The Gettysburg Heritage Center will continue to offer complimentary admission year-round to Gettysburg residents with at 17325 zip code. 

 
 

Offering a unique look at both the Battle of Gettysburg, and the town of Gettysburg, the Gettysburg Heritage Center has solidified itself as a prominent destination within the community.  The non-profit facility contains a comprehensive museum experience, giving visitors a visual and interactive orientation to Gettysburg.  The story of Gettysburg unfolds for guest through various displays, 3-D programming, and historic artifacts.  Much of the success of the museum is due to various private & public partnerships, including the American Battlefield Trust, and the collaborative efforts with Adams County Historical Society & Land Conservancy of Adams County.
