Gettysburg Borough has begun constructing the first “parklet” on Lincoln Square. So far there is only a wood floor.
When completed, the parklets will be used for outdoor seating and merchandise displays, providing extra space for businesses to operate.
The parklets will be rented by the businesses that use them. It is expected that alcoholic beverages will be served on some parklets.
