Gettysburg Police Save “Lifeless” Man

On December 21, 2020 at 9:24 p.m. Gettysburg Police along with Adams Regional EMS were dispatched to a residence in the first block of Baltimore Street in the Borough of Gettysburg.

An officer with the Gettysburg Police Department arrived on the scene immediately upon dispatch and found a 22-year-old male lifeless, with no pulse and no breathing. The officer assessed the situation, immediately administered Narcan, and started CPR.

Within a few minutes the patient became conscious and was breathing on their own.

Emergency Medical Services arrived and continued care of the patient and transported them to the Hospital.

Officers are credited with saving the life of this individual with their quick actions coupled with their immediate response to the residence.
