The Borough of Gettysburg has discovered fraudulent QR code stickers on some of the Borough’s parking meters. Scanning these codes takes the patron to a fake website that mimics the Borough’s Pay-By-Phone parking mobile phone app. Payments entered through this fake QR code do not begin a parking session in Gettysburg Borough.
Please do not use any QR codes for parking payments. Gettysburg Borough does not use QR codes for parking purposes.
To pay securely, use coins, the Pay-By-Phone app, or visit the Borough website and follow the official link to Pay-By-Phone parking mobile phone app.
If you notice someone placing stickers on the meters who is not in a parking officer uniform, please contact the local police department immediately. The non-emergency police phone number is (717) 334-8101.
