Gettysburg Rezoning is in progress

On August 29 the Borough of Gettysburg Planning Department held an open house to present information about the rezoning effort that is currently underway.  The Planning Commission is discussing individual districts at their regular meetings (3rd Monday of each month, 7 p.m.)

At the open house, John Whitmore, Planning Director made a presentation, with plenty of opportunities for questions and comments.  That presentation can be found at the link below. The draft rezoning ordinance is also in the Rezoning section on the borough website.

The August 29 meeting was broadcasted and recorded by Adams County Community Media, thanks to private funding, and the video can be found at https://www.facebook.com/communitymedia.net.

If you have specific questions about a particular property or zone, you can contact John Whitmore, Planning Director, at the Borough Office.

It’s important that the community participates in, and understands, the process that is happening right now.  The results will affect the future of Gettysburg.  Please take a look via the opportunities above.
