The Rotary Club of Gettysburg is pleased to call for candidate nominations from the general public for its annual presentation of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Humanitarian Award. The club has conferred this prestigious award almost every year since 2003 upon an individual in recognition of outstanding humanitarian service and positive influence in one or more of the following categories:
- Public/civic service
- Promotion of world peace
- Promotion of global knowledge
- Contributing to the betterment of humanity, either globally or locally.
The award was last presented in 2023.

Nomination criteria:
Persons submitting candidate nominations must submit a description of the nominee’s service consistent with the categories provided above. Nominations should include a description of the service(s) rendered, applicable timeframe, global or local impact, and a detailed description of the personal effort undertaken by the nominee in providing the humanitarian service. Nominations must not exceed three standard written pages.
Nominations must be submitted by May 31, 2025, to PO Box 3161, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Please include the name, address, and contact information for both the nominee and the person submitting the nomination.

Additional Information: Nominees must be individuals rather than organizations and must reside in either Adams County or Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The award will be presented at a special meeting of the Rotary Club of Gettysburg in October 2025.
