Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival returns this weekend

Central Pennsylvania’s premier celebration of local wines, spirits, and live music returns this weekend with the Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival, set for Saturday and Sunday at Granite Hill Camping Resort.

The two-day event, presented by the Gettysburg Adams Chamber of Commerce, will feature hundreds of wines from Pennsylvania’s top wineries, along with craft spirits from local distilleries. Live music will provide the soundtrack throughout the festival, complementing attendees’ enjoyment of tastings, food vendors, and a festive atmosphere.

Festival hours run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 7. Sampling begins each day at noon. Guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, and small coolers. Portable tents are permitted in designated areas with the proper ticket. Outside alcohol, pets, and weapons are prohibited. Proper identification is required for tastings.

Parking is free on-site; however, all spaces are located on grass fields, and some attendees may need to walk through wooded trails to reach the festival grounds. A designated drop-off area is available for tents, chairs, and coolers. For those who prefer not to drive, a shuttle service is offered by Gettysburg Tours Center from the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel, with additional stops at the Courtyard by Marriott and the 1863 Inn of Gettysburg.

Volunteers play a significant role in the success of the festival each year. Those who sign up to help during the weekend receive free admission, a souvenir wine glass, and a volunteer T-shirt.

Tickets are available online, and more details, including the shuttle schedule and volunteer sign-up, can be found through the Gettysburg Adams Chamber of Commerce.
