The Steinwehr Avenue Business Improvement District, made up of more than 70 businesses in Gettysburg’s famous Steinwehr Avenue neighborhood, is pleased to offer a job fair on Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., at the Gettysburg Heritage Center.
The job fair will offer on-the-spot interviews and in some cases on-the-spot offers for jobs in Gettysburg’s vibrant tourism industry including attractions, lodging, restaurants and retail. High-school students, college students and anyone interested in working behind the scenes in tourism are encouraged to attend.
“As administrators of the Steinwehr Business Improvement District, we want to reach our community on behalf of our diverse collection of businesses,” said Jill Sellers, president and CEO of Main Street Gettysburg. “We have a lot to offer potential employees, including convenient and flexible hours and the chance to gain valuable experience in our thriving tourism industry.”
Registration for the fair is not required. Applicants should bring resumes, dress appropriately for a job interview and be prepared to answer questions about themselves, their interests and availability.
The Gettysburg Heritage Center (event host) is located at 297 Steinwehr Avenue and offers ample free parking. It is within a 15-walk of Lincoln Square in downtown Gettysburg.
The Steinwehr Avenue Business Improvement District is a non-profit organization that works to improve Steinwehr Avenue’s public environment, economy and marketability with the goal of creating and maintaining a vibrant, inviting, historic and exciting place where people from all walks of life are able to dine, shop, stay and explore everything Gettysburg has to offer.
