Zach Tipton, senior swim team captain at Gettysburg High School, has committed to continue his academic and swimming career at Washington College in Charleston MD, where he will major in biology as part of their pre-med program on a Presidential Scholarship.
At GHS, Tipton had his best times in the 100 breaststroke (1.00.04) and 200 indvidual medley (2.04.36) and was a member of the school-record breaking 200 medley relay (1.40.48).
Tipton qualified for the AAA District 3 championships that will be held on March 3 and 4.
Zach is a two-year captain of the swim team, is in National Honor Society, Key Club, and Student Council.
