Gingerbread Holiday Tradition Goes Online

A much loved Gettysburg holiday tradition continues this year in a new virtual format. Entry forms are now available for the Adams County Arts Council’s 11th Annual Gingerbread Celebration, sponsored by Kennie’s Markets. It will be held online at www.adamsarts.org on December 4-6.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, an additional $1,000 has again been added to the cash prizes. First prize winner in the School/Nonprofit and Family/Individual/Amateur categories will receive $500. Second prize in both categories is $200.  Businesses compete for the coveted traveling Ginger Trophy, currently held by Brown’s Ranch, Gettysburg. The deadline for entry forms is November 25.

The public is invited to view the online display of houses and to select the winners by voting with dollars for their favorite gingerbread creations.

Entry forms and more information are available online at www.adamsarts, by calling (717) 334-5006, or at the Arts Education Center, 125 S. Washington St. Gettysburg. The mission of the Adams County Arts Council is to cultivate an arts-rich community.
