Healthy Adams County will host its 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment Forum on Friday, October 3, bringing together community members, organizations, and leaders to focus on health priorities for the next three years.
The free event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at HACC’s Gettysburg Campus. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Morning presentations will highlight new findings from the 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment, which surveys county residents on health behaviors and challenges. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank will also share results from its Hunger Mapping Project, identifying where food insecurity most affects local families. Additionally, @Home in Adams County will present the outcomes of its recent Deliberative Forum, outlining action plans to address housing needs across the region.
Following lunch, participants will take part in breakout planning sessions from 1 to 3 p.m. These workgroups will focus on three newly identified priority areas for Adams County over the next three years: social wellbeing, mental health, and physical health. Organizers say the sessions are designed to give residents and stakeholders the opportunity to contribute ideas and strategies that will guide Healthy Adams County’s work through 2028.
The forum serves as both a platform for presenting data and a call to action, emphasizing collaboration among nonprofits, schools, healthcare providers, and local governments. By combining research with community input, Healthy Adams County hopes to create solutions that reflect the county’s most pressing needs while fostering long-term improvement in quality of life.
Registration is required by Friday, September 26. Interested participants can register online or contact Kathy Gaskin at kgaskin@wellspan.org or (717) 337-4137 with questions.
