The Adams County Heritage Festival celebrates the many ethnic and cultural traditions of Adams County. It includes entertainment and food representing a variety of traditions, craft vendors and demonstrators, children’s activities, and exhibits by local non-profit agencies. It is held on the third Sunday of September from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in the Gettysburg Area Recreation Park. Admission is free. The Festival is jointly sponsored by the Interfaith Center for Peace and Justice and the YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County, and in recent years, around 1200 people have attended it in good weather.
