With the evening show already sold out, only 19 tickets remain for Saturday’s 2 p.m. performance by Honey on the Rocks at the Gettysburg Community Theatre — and organizers are urging fans to act quickly.
The local band, formed about two years ago by Bevin Durant Fidler and Josh Fidler has built a strong following in the Gettysburg area and will use the intimate theater setting to showcase both familiar favorites and original material. The show will include selections from their developing project, Up on this Mountain, a music-driven story inspired by the true story of Catherine “Kitty” Payne and her children, a legally emancipated family living in Adams County which was seized as slaves in July, 1845.
“This is a more intentional listening experience,” said Josh, noting the theater’s acoustics and seated format allow for a more carefully produced show.
