Gettysburg College is widely recognized for its outstanding career outcomes and return-on-investment. The Wall Street Journal even ranked the college as No. 26 among the best liberal arts colleges in the nation. But what’s the secret? The college’s Center for Career Engagement (CCE).
The CCE works with students to help them reach their full potential by connecting them with opportunities in their field of interest, helping them develop professional skills, and providing them with a network of alumni to help them advance their career.

All incoming students have the opportunity to participate in the Gettysburg Approach, a guided pathway that includes academic support, internships, and a career development plan. The program also offers students the opportunity to work on projects with local and global organizations, participate in leadership development programs, and compete for grants ranging from $1,000 to $4,000.
The CCE also supports students’ professional development by providing them with a personal advising team that consists of a career advisor, faculty advisor, co-curricular advisor, and alumni mentor. This team provides students with guidance, support, and feedback as they navigate the academic progress and career development pathways.
The Gettysburg Approach and CCE are integral to the college’s mission to prepare students for success.
