Julieta Booz is running for the office of School Director for the Gettysburg Area School District (GASD) school board. She believes that a School Board Director should be non-partisan and plans to cross-file in the upcoming primary on May 20, 2025.
Julieta Booz believes that being a school director is one of the biggest investments a constituent can make. Today’s students will be our caregivers, artists, tradespersons, and explorers, and will enter careers we have yet to discover. All our children should have the knowledge and skills they need to follow their dreams.

As a former Naval Program Manager with over 35 years of government experience, Julieta Booz knows the value of teamwork. Booz understands that it takes many disciplines working together to ensure the safety and well-being of our sailors and marines. Booz knows there are just as many disciplines to educate and assure the safety and well-being of our children.
Booz has experience preparing and managing budgets worth millions of dollars that balance needs, wants, and desires against taxpayers’ dollars. Booz is confident that working with GASD staff, administrators, and directors she can assure our children have the knowledge and skills they need to be our future leaders and community members.
Julieta Booz has been an active member of the community since moving to the area in 2017. She helped prepare future U.S. citizens for their citizenship test, checked in voters as a former poll worker, was treasurer for the women’s group at her church, and took part in a variety of area civic initiatives and events.

At least she is not another school teacher or administrator running!
