Enjoy authentic stories of how Christ Lutheran Church was used as a Civil War hospital during and after the Battle of Gettysburg. Tuesday July 4 at 10:00 am – Flute Flock of Gettysburg Gettysburg Hotel Front Porch
Flute players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to gather on the steps of the Gettysburg Hotel to honor our great country with patriotic music. Registration is 8:00-8:30 am; rehearsal is 8:30-9:30 am; photo at 9:50 am and concert begins at 10 am in front of the hotel. Bring a stand if you are playing and be prepared to stand if you are listening. These flute players believe that tubas are not the only instruments that can generate an audience!

Iron & Wine is the musical project of singer-songwriter Sam Beam. Born and raised in South Carolina, His home recorded debut, The Creek ate the Cradle, was released in 2002. Gail Jones has enjoyed a twenty-five-year career as a music educator in Pennsylvania and Maryland public schools as well as teaching music education methods at Gettysburg College for over a decade. She has also served as a guest conductor, French horn player, and private music instructor.
Gail has a deep appreciation for live music performances of all genres and encourages Adams County residents to attend the many concerts offered in our community.
