The first-ever halftime show at a FIFA World Cup final is getting an even bigger lineup, with Justin Bieber announced Wednesday as the latest headliner for the historic event.
FIFA and Global Citizen said Bieber will join Madonna, Shakira and BTS as co-headliners for the July 19 performance at MetLife Stadium — officially known during the tournament as New York New Jersey Stadium — in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The halftime show, curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, will also feature Burna Boy, acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus, an elementary school choir from Staten Island, New York.
The World Cup final is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. ET, with the halftime performance expected to be one of the most-watched musical events in television history.
The show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a campaign aiming to raise $100 million to expand access to education and soccer opportunities for children around the world. FIFA has pledged to donate $1 from every ticket sold for World Cup 2026 matches to the fund.
In a statement, Bieber said he was honored to participate in an event that brings people together while supporting educational opportunities for children worldwide.
The Canadian pop star has remained engaged with the tournament throughout the summer, publicly supporting his home country’s national team during its World Cup run. He also recently made headlines by announcing the Toronto Maple Leafs’ first overall selection at the 2026 NHL Draft.
The expanded halftime lineup brings together artists representing multiple generations and musical styles, underscoring FIFA’s effort to make the inaugural World Cup final halftime show a global entertainment spectacle alongside the championship match.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup final will conclude the first tournament hosted jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
