
LANCASTER, Pa. Junior Zanze Kuba-McCoy (Somerville, N.J./Somerville) turned in a pair of strong performances on the volleyball court for Gettysburg College on the way to being named Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the second-straight week.
Kuba-McCoy averaged 4.43 kills and 3.86 digs per set while hitting a blistering .443 on the attack in a pair of wins last week. The junior outside hitter logged 12 kills and eight digs in a quick 3-0 non-conference sweep of Penn State Mont Alto on Oct. 13. Kuba-McCoy knocked down a career-high 19 kills and tied her personal best with 19 digs in a 3-1 win at Washington on Oct. 16. She hit .472 against the Shorewomen and added three aces and two blocks.
The junior ranks third in the conference with 4.03 kills per set and sixth in attack percentage at .295. Kuba-McCoy is also averaging 3.15 digs per set and has totaled 14 aces and 27 blocks. The weekly award is the third of her career from the conference.
Gettysburg (11-7, 3-3 CC) meets Dickinson College (12-6, 4-3 CC) Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. in Carlisle, Pa.
