This Annual Land Conservancy of Adams County Art Auction will again be held in the Arts Council’s newly renovated building on South Washington Street. An opening reception for the artists and the general public will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on First Friday, April 5th, creating the opportunity to meet many of the contributing artists and to see the show in its full glory. Once again, this will be an online auction hosted by Biddingowl.com, and bidding will begin following the reception. Art will remain on display in the Arts Council’s main gallery through the auction’s close on Monday, April 22.
On Wednesday, April 10th, the Arts Council will be hosting a luncheon featuring Chef Harry McCollugh’s culinary stylings. As last year, it will feature an Italian buffet offering everything from salads to dessert—and wine—all for $25.00! Last year’s luncheon was a sell-out, so get your reservation no later than Friday, April 5.

Then, Conservation Director Sarah Kipp will be the Arts Council’s featured speaker for its 3rd Thursday program on April 18th at 10:00 a.m., detailing the Conservancy’s mission and accomplishments. Coffee and pastries will be served.
Finally, on Monday, April 22nd, the Arts Council is hosting an End-of-Auction party from 5:00 p.m. through the 6:00 p.m. closing of the auction. Drinks and snacks will be provided at no charge, and all are welcome. This party will provide one last chance to see the art in person, facilitating “just one more bid” before the auction closes at 6 p.m. Winning bidders will have the opportunity to settle up and take their new art home that night.
