The Land Conservancy of Adams County will be on hand at the Adams County Farmers’ Market on Stratton Street in Gettysburg on Saturday, Sept. 19, to offer its facemasks in exchange for a donation to SCCAP (South Central Community Action Programs). The mission of SCCAP is to empower families and engage the community to pursue innovative and effective solutions to break the cycle of poverty.
The masks are free—one per person, while supplies last—but the Land Conservancy is collecting donations to SCCAP in exchange for the masks. Suggestion donation is $5 per mask.
Also available at the Adams County Farmers’ Market will be information about the Land Conservancy’s annual art auction and road rally fundraisers.
The long-running auction, which raises funds to support rural land conservation in Adams County, features a wide variety of artwork donated by regional artists and art collectors—everything from painting and drawing to ceramics, jewelry, and other three-dimensional work. The artwork is on display online at BiddingOwl.com/LCAC and in person at the Adams County Arts Council, 125 S. Washington St., Gettysburg, through Sept. 23. The Arts Council’s gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm.
The Land Conservancy of Adams County is an accredited nonprofit, member-supported land trust dedicated to preserving the rural lands and character of Adams County for all residents and visitors. For more information, visit PreserveAdams.org.
