Larry L. Weikert, 80, Fairfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at his home.
He was born September 27, 1945, in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late Edwin and Doris Myers Weikert. He is survived by his wife, Donna Kane Weikert.
Mr. Weikert is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield, PA. Larry was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. For 40 years, he was a Phone Operations Technician for the former United Telephone Company, which was later CenturyLink. Larry was a member of Fairfield Fire Company and the Fairfield AmVets. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also a founding member of the Mt. Nessmuk Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by three children: Shannon Weikert and his wife Kimberly of Eldred, PA; Scott Weikert and his wife Jacki of Gettysburg, PA; Kelli Powell and her husband Mike of Fairfield, PA; nine grandchildren: Christopher, Kristina, Olivia, Jonah, Edwin, Ann, Madison, Ellie, Kaleb, a great-granddaughter, Aurora, a brother, Tony Weikert of Fairfield, PA. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Weikert, and his twin sister, Linda Fitz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield, PA, with Fr. Peter DiTomasso as celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
