Littlestown’s Christmas On The Square is Saturday

The borough of Littlestown will kick off the holiday season with its annual Christmas On The Square celebration on Saturday, Dec. 6, bringing food, music, games, and a visit from Santa to the center of town.

The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of King Street (Route 194) and Queen Street (Route 97). The Mayor and Borough Council are inviting residents and visitors alike to bundle up, head downtown, and enjoy an evening of holiday fun.

Food trucks and community groups will line the square, offering a variety of treats. Confirmed vendors include Ahh Refresh, serving coffee, hot chocolate and lemonade; Bring the Vibe; Food Adventure; Friends of the Littlestown Library; and Lynette Cay’s dessert stand. ACNB Bank will host a stand with giveaways and popcorn.

Music from a DJ will set the festive tone while families explore activities and local businesses. The Littlestown Senior Center, 10 E. Locust St. at the bottom of the Sells parking lot, will display holiday ornaments and gingerbread houses. Visitors can cast votes for their favorites between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m., with prizes donated by ACNB. Entries may be dropped off at the Senior Center from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Several downtown businesses will be open late to welcome visitors. Burn Slow Studios will offer hot chocolate, coffee, treats, raffles, and gift cards, and staff will share plans for expanding the studio’s role in the community. The FBLA will run a stand with raffles and tickets for its Holiday Bingo fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 4 p.m. Firehouse Grill will host activities, Bizzy Bee Warehouse will invite shoppers in to warm up and browse, and Gateau Monique will serve pastries, cookies, drinks, and signature BLTs.

The highlight of the evening comes at 6 p.m., when Santa arrives for the tree lighting on the square and photos with families. Guests are encouraged to bring their own phones or cameras.

Families with a child or adult with sensory needs who would like a quieter, sensory-friendly visit with Santa are asked to email the mayor at mayor@littlestownboro.org to arrange a time.
