Living History Encampments
Gettysburg Heritage Center
Saturday, August 17, 2019
Special weekends throughout the season the Gettysburg Heritage Center host living history encampments. These Civil War camps are free and open to the public. The reenactors who portray Civil War soldiers re-create what life was like for the soldiers. There are different groups contracted to attend so the programs will vary from event to event. Every group will do demonstrations and be available to talk with visitors and answer any questions they have. This program is great for all ages!
Camp times vary but are open a minimum from 9am-5pm on Saturdays and 9am-4 pm on Sundays. In the summer months they can run as late as 7pm.
