Churches from around the area will join together on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gettysburg Recreational Park, 545 Long Lane, Gettysburg, for an evening of community outreach.
The goal of the event is to provide a stable and trusting environment for those in need to request prayer, to create an opportunity for fellowship, and to extend invitations to worship at the participating churches.
Entertainment will include demonstrations of classic cars, motorcycles, and new corvettes, as well live musicians, skateboarding demonstrations, face painting, and games for the whole family.
Local vendors will be offering a wide variety of free refreshments.
Angel Perez, Chaplain at the Adams County Adult Correctional Complex, will present a special message.
The program is sponsored by local churches including First Baptist Church Gettysburg, Memorial Baptist, Saint James Lutheran, Gettysburg Presbyterian, Luz – Alegria y Esperanza, Amos Tabernacle, Intersection), whose primary goal is to help share the love and Good News of Jesus Christ in an open, fun and informal setting.
Faith- based ministries (Shoe Box ministry, Tender Care, Gettysburg CAREs, Adams Christian Prison Ministries, Shining Stars, Adams Rescue Mission, Child Evangelism Fellowship, FCA) will share their services with the community.
