Main Street Gettysburg CEO Deb Adamik said the Long, Long, Long, Long Dinner Party scheduled for October has been cancelled. Adamik said the festival relied in large part on volunteers and that “a lot of our older volunteers are not feeling safe.”
Adamik said she was hoping the dinner might be rescheduled in the spring.
Adamik also said the Gettysburg Christmas Festival may or not happen this year, depending on the opinions of local businesses, which are being assessed in a survey.
If the festival does occur, “it will not be like last year,” said Adamik.
“If we do it this year we’ll do a streamlined version. It may be longer than a day. We’ll decorate it like we did last year,” said Adamik.
Adamik said Main Street raised $90,000 last year to put on the festival.
