Lower Dauphin triumphed over Gettysburg, 11-1 Tuesday afternoon, in a five-inning affair. The Falcons racked up 11 runs on 13 hits, while the Warriors managed a single tally on six hits.
Gettysburg’s lineup featured standout performances from Kate Keller, who went 3-for-3 with a double, and Emmaleigh Gillingham, who hit a double and drove in the team’s only run. Despite their efforts, Gettysburg’s offense couldn’t keep up with Lower Dauphin’s explosive lineup.

For Lower Dauphin, Katelyn Strawser led the charge, hitting two home runs and driving in three runs. The team also showcased impressive base running, with Morgan Sparks, Audrey Adams, and Laurel Zubler stealing bases throughout the game. Megan Mayberry and Samantha Gallick contributed to the team’s offensive prowess, both hitting doubles and driving in a run each.
On the mound, Gettysburg struggled to contain Lower Dauphin’s powerful offense. Danika Kump started the game, pitching one inning and allowing three runs on two hits. Emily Haines and Megan Musselman also pitched, but they couldn’t slow down the Falcons’ hitters either. In total, Gettysburg’s pitchers allowed 11 runs on 13 hits in four innings.
Lower Dauphin’s Carissa Wenner pitched a strong game, going the distance and allowing just one run on six hits. She also struck out seven Gettysburg hitters, demonstrating control and command on the mound.
