Make a Difference: Run for Office in Adams County

There is no better way to serve your community than to run for public office, and there are over 150 seats in Adams County that will be up for election in 2019.

These include 116 municipal positions, 33 school board seats, and eight county spots that will be on the ballot in the 2019 municipal election.

The terms for these positions last from two to six years, with the most common being four years.

Elected positions for municipalities include supervisors, borough council members, mayors, auditors, and constables.

Most of the local school districts have seats available on their school boards.

Contact your local township, borough, or school board if you are interested in running for office.

The municipal primary election is May 21.

To vote in the primary you must register by April 22.

May 14 is the last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot.
