March 1 at 2:00 pm – Twin Hearts (play) @ Kline Theatre, Gettysburg College

March 1 – 8 – We the People, the Musical @ Gettysburg Community Theatre                      

There is no better way to celebrate America than with beautiful, patriotic music – from America’s favorite anthems to poignant and uplifting original compositions. This patriotic tableau begins as a committee discusses putting on a patriotic tableau for the town. March 1 – 12 – EPIC: Elvis Presley in Concert @ Majestic Theater                                                    

This documentary, by director Baz Luhrmann, uses a variety of lost film footage from Presley’s Vegas residency and other sources to provide us with ever more information about Elvis. Tickets are $9.  www.gettysburgmajestic.org

March 6 from 5 – 7 pm – New Artist Exhibit and Reception @ Adams County Arts Council   

This month Steve Stanton and his art will be in the Reception Hall, Susan Nicholas Gephart in the Gallery, and Maremi Andreozzi in the Studio. Meet the artists and enjoy some refreshments. Admission is free.     www.adamsarts.org

March 6 at 7 pm – Poetry First Friday @ Ragged Edge Coffeehouse                                             

Grab some goodies downstairs and head upstairs to enjoy an open mic for local poets, followed by a reading from guest poet Nancy Murray of Maryland. She is a memoirist, poet, and educator as well as the recipient of several writing awards.

March 6 at 7:30 pm–Concordia College Choir @ ULS Seminary Church of the Abiding Presence

Recognized as one of America’s finest a cappella choirs, The Concordia Choir of Moorhead, Minnesota will perform here as part of their 2026 national tour, which includes 17 performances across the country. The concert features a wide-ranging selection of choral works spanning the Baroque to Contemporary eras and will be conducted by Professor Michael Culloton. March 7 at 7:30 pm – Ruckus Edinburgh Rollick @ Majestic Theater                                   

Experience Celtic music as never before with this “jubilant, foot-stomping and nostalgic” celebration of music.  Ruckus fuses the early-music movement’s creative spirit with the grit of American roots music, creating a unique sound. They are joined by Scottish violin virtuoso Keir GoGwilt, known as a “formidable performer” who helps to breathe new life into this exciting Celtic music. March 16 at 12 and 7 pm – National Theatre Live on Screen: Hamlet @ Majestic Theater   

Olivier- Award winner Hiran Abeysekera is Hamlet in this fearless, contemporary take on Shakespeare’s famous tragedy.  Tickets are $21.  www.gettysburgmajestic.org

March 21 at 8 pm – Gettysburg College Choir @ Schmucker Hall, Paul Recital Hall

March 23 at 12 and 7 pm – Exhibition on Screen: Turner and Constable @ Majestic Theater  

Two of Britain’s greatest painters, J.M.W. Turner and John Constable were also the greatest of rivals. Born within a year of each other, both used landscape painting to reflect the changing world around them. Tate Britain brings these two greats together for a groundbreaking exhibition in London and we can enjoy it here on the big screen.   Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for students.  www.gettysburgmajestic.org

March 28 at 10 am – What’s Opera, Doc? @ULS Church of the Abiding Presence  

Presented by Music, Gettysburg! and featuring Mark Tiarks, formerly of the operas in Santa Fe, Portland, and Chicago. Using cartoons, he will remind us of how we learned about opera from the real experts – Bugs, Mickey, and Bart. March 28 at 7 pm – Buzz Jones Sextet @ Gettysburg Community Theatre                                  

This jazz concert will include compositions of the venerable Duke Ellington, Bossa Nova master Antonio Carlos Jobim, Pennsylvania’s own Henry Mancini, Billy Joel, and two ‘60’s soul classics recorded at Stax Studios in Memphis. Gail Jones

Gail Jones has enjoyed a twenty-five-year career as a music educator in Pennsylvania and Maryland public schools as well as teaching music education methods at Gettysburg College for over a decade. She has also served as a guest conductor, French horn player, and private music instructor. Gail has a deep appreciation for live music performances of all genres and encourages Adams County residents to attend the many concerts offered in our community.
