LANCASTER, Pa. – A total of nine student-athletes from Gettysburg College were named to this year’s All-Centennial Conference Women’s Lacrosse Team, highlighted by senior Kerry McKeever (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) as Attacker of the Year and freshman Caroline Sullivan (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) as Rookie of the Year.

McKeever and Sullivan both copped first-team status on the all-conference team and were joined by seniors Bri Stokes (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) and Sara Howard (Skillman, N.J./Montgomery) and sophomores Katie Fullowan (Lebanon, N.J./North Hunterdon)  and Shannon Twill (Warren, N.J./Watchung Hills Regional). Three Bullets earned second-team honors in senior Alex Jarvis (West Hartford, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall), junior Nora Janzer (Havertown, Pa./Haverford), and freshman Jordan Basso (Rye, N.Y./Rye).

McKeever became Gettysburg’s 15th CC Player of the Year selection and sixth to earn the award as an attacker. It was also her second All-CC nod after earning second-team status in 2019. The senior attacker tied for the team lead with 20 goals and added six assists, eight ground balls, and a team-best 21 draw controls. She scored at least two goals in all but one game this spring, including a career-high seven against Muhlenberg College. A two-time All-American, McKeever scored a goal in each of her final 40 games as a Bullet and finished her career with 140 goals, 51 assists, 191 points, and 189 draw controls in 55 games.

Sullivan marked Gettysburg’s third CC Rookie of the Year, joining Amanda Borucki ’16 in 2013 and Courtney Patterson ’20 in 2017. The first-year midfielder did it all for Gettysburg, compiling nine goals, six assists, 15 points, nine ground balls, four caused turnovers, and six draw controls. Sullivan scored a goal in every game and opened her collegiate career with a hat trick and an assist against Washington College.

Stokes was Gettysburg’s leading scorer with 34 points and she paced the conference with 14 assists. She connected on 57.1 percent of her shot attempts and tied McKeever for team honors with 20 goals this spring. Stokes produced a trio of seven-point performances, including back-to-back efforts against Washington and Muhlenberg College to open the season. She tallied at least three points in all six games this spring.  For her career, Stokes compiled 131 points on 98 goals and 33 assists in 53 games.

Howard, who served as a team captain alongside McKeever and Stokes, picked up her first all-conference selection as one of the anchors of Gettysburg’s defensive unit. She started all six games and posted four ground balls and four caused turnovers while helping the Bullets hold opponents to a shooting percentage of .323. Howard posted a pair of caused turnovers against Washington and McDaniel College this spring. A three-year starter, she finished her career with 19 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers in 36 games.

Fullowan emerged as a leading contributor on the attack in her second year and finished third on the team with 16 goals. She added an assist and 17 draw controls and paced the squad with six free-position goals. The sophomore attacker ended the year with a flourish, netting four goals in three of the final four games of the spring, including against top-ranked Franklin & Marshall College. Fullowan also posted a four-goal, seven-draw control outburst against Dickinson College. She has appeared in nine games over the last two shortened campaigns.

The final first-team honoree was Twill. The sophomore goalie was a force to be reckoned with in her first full year in cage, finishing second in the conference in both goals against average (7.27) and save percentage (.568). She posted 10 saves in her season debut against Washington and notched a career-best 12 saves against No. 1 F&M. Twill was named the CC Defensive Player of the Week a league-high three times this spring.

Jarvis ended her career on a high note with her first all-conference award as a defender. She started all six games and posted three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and 13 draw controls. The senior defender posted a career-high eight draw controls in the season opener against Washington and she tallied two ground balls and two caused turnovers against Dickinson. For her career, Jarvis logged 12 ground balls, five caused turnovers, and 35 draw controls in 33 games.

Janzer also picked up her first postseason honor as a second-team defender. She started all six games and finished as the team leader with six caused turnovers to go with five ground balls. The junior tallied two ground balls and two caused turnovers against Muhlenberg and posted two caused turnovers against McDaniel. Janzer has accrued 19 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers, and eight draw controls in 26 games.

The final Bullet to earn all-conference recognition was another impressive first-year in Basso. Basso finished third on the team in points (26), second in assists (13), and third in goals (13). She was also a big part of the draw team, racking up 17 draw controls out of the circle. The first-year midfielder dropped in four goals in her collegiate debut against Washington and she tallied seven points in back-to-back outings against Dickinson and Ursinus College.

In addition to the all-conference selections, senior Kerry Ullman (Fairfield, Conn./Academy of Our Lady of Mercy Lauralton Hall) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Ullman was a positive presence on the roster whether it was on the field attacking the cage or off the field cheering from the sideline. Over the last four seasons, she tallied 10 goals and two assists in 20 appearances.
