Senior Nick Antolini (Babylon, N.Y./Babylon) of the Gettysburg College men’s basketball team has been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) Team, it was announced Tuesday.
Antolini earns his first career All-CC Second Team honors after leading the Bullets in scoring with a career-high 16.4 points per game while shooting 43.5 percent. He also finished second on the team in rebounding (5.5 rpg) with a season-high 13 coming against St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The senior guard posted two double-doubles, six 20-plus scoring outputs, and led the team in scoring in 11 different games. He also became the 26th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points and finished his career with 1,022 tallies, which ranks 25th in program history.
He ranks third in program history in defensive rebound average (4.7), sixth in defensive rebounds (401), seventh in three-point field goals attempted, and 10th in three-point field goals made (123).
In addition, senior guard Danny Duffey (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) was named to the CC All-Sportsmanship Team. Duffey closed his career as the most prolific passer at Gettysburg. He turned in 330 career assists, which is 60 more than previous record holders Andrew Powers ’11 and Steve Gordon ’96. Duffey is the only Bullet with two 90-assist seasons, recording those in 2016-17 and 2017-18.
Gettysburg doubled its season win total from a season ago. The Bullets gave nearly every team a battle with nine games decided by nine points or less, including each of the final six Centennial Conference affairs.
