LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men’s golf team produced another strong season on the course and as a result, the team was honored by the Centennial Conference with the top player, rookie, and coach this spring.

Senior Quinn Greene (New Milford, Conn./Canterbury School) became Gettysburg’s eighth CC Player of the Year after a sterling final campaign that ended with medalist honors at the conference tournament. Freshman Cameron Deiuliis (Highland, Md./River Hill) was named the CC Rookie of the Year following a strong debut season, while Head Coach Nate Davis earned his second consecutive nod as Coach of the Year, sharing the award with Franklin & Marshall College’s Andy Tompos.

The Bullets also featured two players on the six-man All-Centennial Conference squad. Greene was a unanimous selection by the coaches and joining the senior was junior Hayden Moffat (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) following a breakout campaign.

Greene was Gettysburg’s second consecutive CC Player of the Year, following in the footsteps of former teammate Danny Harcourt ’19 in 2019. The senior produced a tremendously consistent spring schedule, never rising above a score of 77 in an individual round and finishing among the top 10 in all seven events. Greene ended his career in emphatic fashion at the CC Championship, rolling out to a big lead with an even-par 71 on the opening day and holding on for his first career conference title. He closed his career ranked eighth in program history with a career average of 78.2.

Deiuliis proved he was going to be a big factor this season early on when he grabbed medalist honors with a season-low 73 at the Gettysburg Invitational on April 8. He tallied top-10 finishes at the second Gettysburg Invite on April 17 and at the McDaniel Spring Shootout two days later. At the conference event, Deiuliis logged back-to-back 82s to finish tied for 14th. He finished his debut season averaging 78.5.

Davis earned his second golf Coach of the Year award and his third CC top coach award overall, having landed the recognition as women’s hoops coach in 2018. Gettysburg posted a season-scoring average of 307 over eight rounds, which is the third-best mark in program history. The Bullets won three tournaments this spring and just missed a second consecutive conference trophy, falling one stroke shy of F&M in the CC Championship. Under Davis’ guidance the last three years, Gettysburg has recorded the three lowest team season scoring averages in program history and won a total of 14 tournaments, including the 2019 CC Championship.

Moffat landed a spot on the all-conference team after a career year on the links. He bested his previous career low for season scoring average by two strokes at 76.9 and he also set personal bests for lowest round (74), top-10 finishes (6), and top-five finishes (4). Moffat placed third at both the Gettysburg Invite and the F&M Invite, carding a career-low 74 at the latter event. At the CC Championship, he placed fifth after notching back-to-back rounds of 78. Moffat will carry a career average of 78.9 into his final year.

Additionally, senior Daniel Rieger (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) was named to the CC All-Sportsmanship Team. Rieger was a constant presence in the starting lineup over the last four seasons and posted an average of 80.2 over six rounds this season. For his career, he finished 12th in program history with a scoring average of 79.0 and logged 13 top-10 finishes.
